Cheap All-on-6: why a low quote can cost more
A low headline price isn't a bad thing in itself. But it's worth knowing the ways a cheap quote can become an expensive one.
A very low All-on-6 quote may be for one jaw, leave out the final bridge or the scan, use an implant brand UK dentists can't service, or price grafts and extractions separately. If something goes wrong, repair trips and corrective work can cost more than the original treatment. Compare what's included, not just the total.
Six ways a cheap quote grows
- It's for one jaw. The price you need is for both. See one jaw or both.
- It stops at the temporary teeth. The final bridge is quoted later, or not at all.
- The implant brand isn't named. A UK dentist may struggle to find parts if anything needs fixing.
- The scan, extractions or grafts are extra. You only find out after you arrive.
- The hotel isn't included, or covers fewer nights than you'll need.
- Repairs aren't covered, or you pay the travel to have them done.
The real risk: paying twice
The Oral Health Foundation lists problems reported after treatment abroad, including infection, ongoing pain, poorly fitting bridges and failed implants. It warns that correcting the work after you return home can be expensive. GOV.UK notes that some British nationals have had complications after procedures in Turkey and needed further treatment.
None of this means treatment abroad is unsafe. It means the cheapest number isn't the same as the lowest cost.
Choose on quality first
The NHS advises basing your decision on the quality of care, not on how appealing the destination is. Check who will treat you and their qualifications, ask how often they do this treatment, and speak to your own dentist. For choosing a clinic in Turkey, see All-on-6 in Turkey.

Common questions
Is a cheaper clinic always worse?
No. Prices differ for honest reasons too, such as running costs. What matters is what's included, who does the treatment, and what happens if something needs fixing.
What's the biggest risk with a cheap quote?
Paying twice. The Oral Health Foundation warns that correcting work after you return home can be expensive, and can cost more than the original treatment.
How do I compare a cheap quote fairly?
Ask the clinic to complete the twelve points on our quote checklist, then put the figures into the calculator with your travel costs.
